The name Canopy comes from the feeling we want every client to have: covered, cared for, and free to enjoy what’s unfolding around them.
For one unforgettable stretch of time, everything comes together: the music, the menu, the flowers, the hugs and conversations, the tiny details people lean in to notice, the milestones and moments everyone came for – and the feeling that follows them home.
Canopy Events was created for that full, layered, beautifully human kind of gathering. And for the thoughtful planning that brings it to life.

Hi, I’m Eliza!
I started Canopy after a decade of learning what makes events work – and what makes the planning process feel good for the people at the center of it.
My career in events started in Los Angeles, working with a well-known planner – and right away, I knew I’d found my world! I loved the energy, the creativity, and the behind-the-scenes magic seeing months of work turn into one incredible day. I went on to work in event rentals, manage bridal salon locations, and become an in-house planner for a North Carolina wedding venue.
That mix of experience is the heart of how I work now. I know how to look at an event from the couple’s side, the vendor side, and the venue side at the same time – which means I can help you make decisions that work in real life, not just on paper.
But my favorite part is still the relationship.
I love working with you on the puzzle of a wedding or event: the early ideas, the practical questions, the family opinions, the floor plans, the rental conversations, and all the little decisions that eventually become a real celebration. Tell me what you love, what you don’t, what you’re excited about, and what feels tricky. I’ll help you make sense of it all, sort the next steps… and keep the fun parts of planning from getting buried under logistics.
Outside of events, you’ll find me embracing a full, fun, and wonderfully busy life in Apex with my husband, our two young boys, and our Golden Retriever, Cooper. I’m a football-wife, a Burn Boot Camp devotee, a Taylor Swift fan, an enthusiastic home cook, and someone who’s always down to discuss the latest reality TV drama. There’s also a very good chance I’m in the middle of reading a romantasy book!
I’m a big believer in making everyday life feel worth celebrating, too.
